How to Protect Your Nebeus Account from Scams & Fraud?

Scams and fraud happen all the time in the crypto space, and people need to be aware of everything that can potentially occur. This concerns people who use cryptocurrency platforms and apps but also people who do not.
Below, we have outlined several rules that you need to be aware of to avoid potential fraud and scams.
1. Impersonation of Nebeus staff.
Scammers may try and impersonate someone working at Nebeus. Please be aware that no one from Nebeus's customer support team or any other team will ever contact you outside of Nebeus's official channels. The Nebeus team will never ask you to reveal any sensitive information or send money to any digital wallet for any reason.
If you suspect that you have been contacted by a scammer, please report your case to Nebeus's customer support team here.
2. Phishing attacks.
A Phishing attack is when a scammer attempts to obtain sensitive information, such as your username, password, or 2FA code, by disguising as Nebeus in fake emails, websites, social media accounts, and more.
Please beware of such potential threats. Never reveal your sensitive information to anyone, check what email address the email is coming from before opening any buttons, and check Nebeus's official social media channels on Nebeus's website.
If you suspect that you have received, found, or been a victim of a phishing attack, please report this to Nebeus's customer support team here.
3. Impersonation of a third-party service.
An impersonation of a third-party service is when a scammer takes up a third-party company/service's fake identity and attempts to contact you. The goal of contacting you is usually to get you to reveal sensitive information and/or guide you through a KYC / Identity Verification process
How to avoid being scammed by the impersonation of a third-party service?
  • If contacted by a company or service, please make sure to always verify the legitimacy of the person contacting you.
  • If asked to verify your identity or submit/upload documents, make sure to read each field and understand where you are uploading your documents.
  • If you are a client of the service that is contacting you, we recommend to hang up the phone and call the official service back yourself. If the issue was real, the company will have no problem retrieving your case and continuing the conversation with you.
If you suspect that you have been a victim of an impersonation attack, please report this to Nebeus's customer support team immediately here!
4. Fake Nebeus social media accounts and fake social media posts.
Nebeus has official social media channels, to which links can be found on Nebeus's website. Apart from these channels, Nebeus does not have any other social media or digital marketing channels.
Nebeus, or anyone from the Nebeus team, will never post messages asking to send money to external wallets. All special offers and communication are only done through official channels.
Never reveal your sensitive information to anyone, never send funds to any digital wallets, and check the social media channel/profile name and URL before interacting with that channel.
If you suspect that you have been contacted or have found a fake social media account, please report this to Nebeus's customer support team here.
