Why is my account locked?

Nebeus is a European financial app for crypto hodlers, bridging cryptocurrency and finance. We are regulated by the Bank of Spain as a Virtual Asset Service Provider & Cryptocurrency Custodian and became the outsourced serviced provider of Modulr Finance to offer electronic money accounts to its users.
Nebeus insists on a comprehensive and thorough KYC and AML compliance framework. This includes monitoring of suspicious transactions and obligatory reporting to local regulators and other compliance bodies.
Why is your account locked?
Following European AML regulations and the AMD 5 Directive, from 29/12/2022, Nebeus introduces new rules for Nebeus transactions.

    Certain funds received from third parties to IBAN and Sort code Accounts will pass additional AML control. Withdrawals will be limited until the end of the review process.
  2. 2.
    If amounts deposited on your account are considered as a risk for its AML we will require additional control .
  3. 3.
    Card transactions will be monitored and locked if we can't ensure the security and authenticity of card.
How long it takes to unlock my account?
This is a process that can take days or weeks. While doing the review of your account we always work with our bank partner to have more details.
Following our internal control and AML regulations we are not able to let you know an exact timeframe. When the review is completed you will be notified by our support team.
What can I do to help?

    When our support team notifies you about your account locked, send us the required information as soon as possible.

    If you have not been contacted about your account being locked, contact our support team.
