KYC verification overview
KYC verification helps Nebeus confirm who uses the platform, protect customers, and meet anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing obligations.
What KYC means
KYC means Know Your Customer. It is the process used to confirm a customer's identity before they can use regulated financial and crypto-asset services.
Nebeus may ask for identity details, a government-issued identity document, a liveness check, Proof of Address, and in some cases information about Source of Funds or Source of Wealth.
Nebeus uses Sumsub as a verification provider for identity checks. The verification flow is shown inside your Nebeus account.
What Nebeus checks
- That the identity document is genuine, valid, and belongs to the person applying.
- That the name, date of birth, country, and document details are consistent.
- That the customer is not subject to sanctions or restrictions that prevent service access.
- That the account is not being opened by an unauthorized third party.
- That additional compliance information is provided when required by law or risk controls.
Basic verification flow
Most users complete the basic flow by confirming personal details, uploading an identity document, completing a liveness check, and waiting for the review result.
Possible results
| Result | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Approved | The information passed the required checks. | You can continue using available services. |
| More information needed | A document is missing, unclear, expired, or inconsistent. | Upload the requested document in your account. |
| Rejected | The check cannot be approved under current requirements. | Review the reason shown and contact support if you believe it is incorrect. |
