Accepted identity documents
Identity documents must be valid, readable, and issued by an accepted country or authority.
Documents usually accepted

| Passport | It is valid and issued by an accepted country. | Photo page, full name, date of birth, document number, and expiry date must be readable. |
| National identity card | Both sides are available where the document has front and back. | All corners must be visible and data must match your account. |
| Residence permit | The permit is supported for your country and is still valid. | The document must show identity details clearly. |
| Driving licence | Only where the verification flow offers it as an option. | Some countries do not allow driving licences for full identity verification. |
Documents usually not accepted
- Expired documents.
- Screenshots or edited images.
- Photocopies when a live document photo is required.
- Documents with missing corners, heavy glare, or unreadable text.
- Student cards, employee cards, medical cards, and membership cards.
- Documents belonging to another person.
If your name does not match
Your Nebeus account details should match your identity document. If your legal name has changed, Nebeus may ask for supporting evidence such as a marriage certificate, deed poll, or other official document.
